Recently, the subject of community water fluoridation has been a hot-button issue. The debate has been characterized by strong opinions and biased examination and interpretation of the data. The information presented below is not meant to be a comprehensive review of the literature but the best attempt by the members of Wisconsin Environmental Health Network to understand the issues involved. We have chosen to focus on the neurodevelopmental effects of water fluoridation rather than other effects as we believe neurotoxicity is of utmost concern. Read complete statement.
